Fisheries and Aquaculture

Description: 

This course discusses the importance of fisheries business and fish farming to the individual and the economy. Students are taken through the principles of fisheries and fish farming. The course exposes students to pond construction and maintenance, stocking and other important aspects such as water quality, feed formulation, fish diseases, causes and control as well as harvesting, storage and processing. Students are also taken through the business of fisheries and fish marketing.
